Abstract:
In the process of beer production a transport of raw material (barley malt and barley) is needed. This transport is performed pneumatically. The paper deals with the actual case of increase in beer production capacity which leads to increase in the amount of the raw material that needs to be transported. In that sence, this paper presents the design of a new pipeline, dosage system and the new vacuum blower that could satisfy the requirements regarding the air flow. It is foreseen the regulation of the vacuum blower based on the pressure drop in pipelines. Attention was drawn to the details regarding the vacuum pneumatic transport system: (1) critical values of the velocities in pipelines, which are very important due to a possible damage of the transported material, (2) limit concentrations of the transported material in air.
